- Abstract
- The aim of this study was to explore how student’s alcohol consumption looks in different environments. The aim was also to explore if there was a connection between student’s alcohol consumption and environment´s indicators. The method used in this study was of a quantitative nature and the data was collected through surveys. The surveys were given out in six lessons and 279 students participated in this study. - The aim of this study was to explore how student’s alcohol consumption looks in different environments. The aim was also to explore if there was a connection between student’s alcohol consumption and environment´s indicators. In result of this study you can see that the environments in which students drank more often was with friends. Home party/preparty was the environment in which student´s consumed most alcohol, but it was also the place most students abstain from consuming alcohol. Connection between student’s alcohol consumption and environment´s indicators was not found, but a connection between student’s alcohol consumption and other factors as gender, living situation, smoking and attitudes towards alcohol was found in the environments home party/preparty and alcohol consumption with friends. The conclusion of this study was that further research is needed to explore what connections there are to student’s alcohol consumption in different environments. (Less)
