- Abstract (Swedish)
(More)

- Abstract
- The aim of this quantitative research study was to investigate if the Mozarteffect had any impact on mathematical problem-solving ability, self-efficacy and arousal, and if these three variables can be manipulated with Mozarts sonata for 2 pianos. Mozart’s sonata K448 is the independent variable. Mathematical results, arousal and self-efficacy were investigated as dependent variables. The population of the study were students from Lund’s University. 32 participants were recruited and participated voluntarily in the study. 18 participants identified themselves as men and 14 participants identified themselves as women. The method was a within subjects’ design. The results were analysed with a paired samples t-test and a Pearsons... (More)

The method was a within subjects’ design. The results were analysed with a paired samples t-test and a Pearsons correlational test was also done. The results were insignificant on all three variables concerning the paired samples t-test and the zero hypothesis was retained but pearsons correlation was significant. Results showed that there was no statistical significance between Mozart’s sonata K448 and mathematical problem solving, arousal or self-efficacy and the null-hypothesis was retained. (Less)
