- Abstract
- This study aims to investigate why the US and Sweden's welfare states differ to the extent that they do today. The essay has used a comparative analysis between the US and Sweden's political tools and conditions over the years to examine why welfare has developed different pronunciations with each other. Sweden is today one of the most used welfare states in the world while the US is the direct opposite. The purpose of the study is to find out the underlying causes that have affected the development of the respective countries welfare state.
