The purpose of this paper is to analyze and compare the American presidents Richard Nixon and Donald Trump in relation to the political science theories: Madman-theory, Coercive bargaining, and Compellence & Deterrence. After these analyses have been done, they will be compared to each other to see if they had similar styles of leadership and how this is shown in relation to the theories. (Less)
