Frederick Herzberg’s two-factor theory (1993). Methods are later used when finding the information needed to do the study. The method chosen was qualitative interviews with four social workers at hospitals. After presenting the results of my work while connecting my results with the chosen theories, I conduct interviews with four different social workers that work at hospitals. This is done to get an in-depth picture on what they define as factors that play a part in their work motivation and joy of work. The results of the study were that work motivation and joy of work are heavily connected to each other, and many factors play a part in their absence or presence. Things such as stability at work, task space, discretion, self-improvement and duties influence a workers motivation and joy at work. (Less)
