Abstract
Purpose: The purpose of the study was to describe radiologic tehnologists (RT) experiences and perspective on performing lung cancer screening with low-dose computed tomorgraphy in the United States.
Methodes: A qualitative study design was used with semi-structured interviews of five radiologic technologist. The material was analyzed by a qualitative content analysis method.
Results: The result of this study shows that RTs use different approaches to help the patients through the examination. It also shows that RTs believe health improvement is a significant benefit of lung cancer screening in the United States.
Conclusion: RTs' experiences and their perspective of lung cancer screening consist of both technical and medical aspects of... (More)

Conclusion: RTs' experiences and their perspective of lung cancer screening consist of both technical and medical aspects of the examination. The most important RT duties is high-quality patient care that includes providing accurate information and making the patients calm, relaxed, and comfortable. (Less)
