- Abstract
- In the crowded market of jetboards, design and innovation plays a significant role when it comes to maintaining a competitive advantage. Both, which can be found in the company Radinn’s jetboards. Yet, the hand controller used to control their board does not convey thesame feeling, and is described by the company as not being at par with their main product.
This thesis evaluates the controller for areas of improvement and innovation. The research findings show that the current solution was lacking some of the market leaders’ standard features, for instance; a display, floatability, and suitable ergonomics.

The proposed solution floats, has improved ergonomics, lets the user choose between speed modes, and shows both the controller and boards battery level. So that, the experience of the ride and controller mutually improves.
This comparative study highlights the key design elements that need to be taken into consideration when developing a new jetboard controller. (Less)
