Abstract
The study aimed to empirically investigate psychological constructs related to Browns (2015) theory on whole-hearted living. Specifically, the relationship between self-compassion and authenticity, growth mindset and shame were analysed with correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. The data was collected through an online survey (N=168). The result showed a strong positive relationship between self-compassion and authenticity, and a strong negative relationship with self-compassion and shame. These results were in line with previous research. The results showed a weak relationship between self-compassion and growth mindset, which can be argued, is not in line with previous research. The result does suggest empirical support... (More)

The result does suggest empirical support for Brown’s (2014) theory, which indicates the need for future research on the subject.

Abstract (Swedish)
(More)
