Abstract
This Master Thesis is based on a project in the product development of the next generation of IoT-sensors for the company Sensative AB. The project commences where a pilot study, finished in January 2022, concludes at the same company by the same author. The project focuses on solidifying and developing the design made in the pilot study, as well as exploring new design ideas for additional wireless sensor designs.

This was achieved by following the theoretical product development process called the Double Diamond process. The project progressed in an iterative manner where solutions and ideas had to be tested and reevaluated along the way. The major focus for the project was developing and improving the SQ-Air sensor. Additional results were the designs of the sensors called Dots and Prism which were more focused on conceptual design.

The designs were prototyped using virtual models, physical 3D-printed models and virtual renders to contribute to constructive discussions and further iterations of improvement during the process. The SQ-Air design progressed to pre-production and the two other designs led to discussions about Sensative’s design-thinking and improving their customer experience as well as expanding their product range. Popular Abstract (Swedish)

(More)
