- Abstract
- The purpose of this paper is to explore what kind of effect mental training and physical activity can have on a musician’s daily life and performance. In order to answer my question, I have conducted interviews with working musicians who work in different fields such as elementary school, university, one-on-one teaching and orchestra musicians, where I asked them about their experience with mental training and the connection to musical performance. Lastly, my analysis will also include using my own logbook, which I kept while attending
yoga classes for three months. In my logbook I reflect on my progress and the impact that those classes have had on me as a musician.
