- The Social democrats have traditionally been against joining alliances, and specifically Nato, to retain Sweden's neutrality. In the analysis citations from the Social Democrats ministers are analysed. The results show that the Social democrats have gotten a more positive view on Nato and have deepened their cooperation through enhanced operative partnership and host nation support. The view on Nato membership seems to not have changed in the time period and material I analysed. To summarise, maybe the Social democrats changed their view on NATO membership after Russia's invasion of Ukraine but that their overall view on NATO changed before then. (Less)
