Mina läppdrillar, utifrån & in. En självstudie baserad på Kopprasch etyd nr. 5 för valthorn

Abstract
The ”lip trill” is for many horn players a complicated, advanced technical skill. There are many documented methods for optimal learning. This essay is a self-study using Kopprasch etude no 5 as practice routine and evaluated using repeated flexible endoscopic video documentation of the pharynx and larynx while practicing. The lip trill could be visualised as rhythmical movement of the tongue while increased tonus and movement in other parts of the pharynx decreased during the study. The ability to perform lip trills improved as well as the stability. The endoscopic video documentation was perceived to add not only basic information on relevant movement but also aid learning.

”Läppdrill” är en för många hornister svårbemästrad avancerad teknisk färdighet. Det finns många olika beskrivna metoder för optimal inlärning. Detta arbete är en självstudie med Kopprasch etyd nr 5 som övningsmetod och utvärderad med regelbunden flexibel endoskopisk filmning av svalg och larynx under övning. Läppdrillen kunde visualiseras som en rörelse i tungan medan anspänning och rörelse i andra delar av svalget minskade under studiens gång. Förmågan att utföra läppdrillar förbättrades och stabiliserades. Den endoskopiska filmningen upplevdes tillföra inte bara grundläggande information om var rörelserna sker utan även underlätta inlärningen.
