- Abstract
- This thesis aims to understand the exclusionary process that leads women to be underrepresented in the renewable energy industry in Sweden. Through interviews and a ground theory approach to the analysis of the data, this thesis aims to explore the perception and experiences of women during their higher education in heavy math STEM careers and later their career choices this thesis will provide an image of the barriers and opportunity faced by women, that contribute to the lack of representation in the renewable energy industry. Overall, this thesis concludes that there is still a lot of negative attitudes that led to women to change career paths, furthermore there is a vacuum of information regarding the renewable energy industry career...
