- Abstract
- This study analyses the educational levels of 240 different political leaders across 118 different countries between the years 1989 to 2015 to derive if the educational levels of leaders effect educational equality as well as health equality. A country’s GDP/capita also plays a role in this, but the result show that the leader’s level of education is still an important factor in increasing equality within the two examined sectors. This is explained through a more well-educated leader having a greater... (More)

This is explained through a more well-educated leader having a greater understanding over the underlaying processes that affect a country. If we see increasing equality as something that is normatively desirable, this lands us in a dilemma, as choosing more well-educated leaders will lead to a confinement of descriptive representation of the people.
