- Abstract
- In 2021 a disinformation campaign called the LVU campaign, spread and highlighted a lack of trust in Swedish authorities. The purpose of our study was to gain a deeper understanding of how trust-building initiatives can be implemented in practice. This was achieved by investigating the project Dialog med socialtjänsten in Malmö City. The study used a qualitative approach with six semi-structured interviews conducted. The respondents were representatives from the project working in different roles such as coordinators, dialogue social workers, and key persons. We primarily identified positive outcomes and experiences of the project. We identified that the methods of the project share a responsive and adaptable approach. A central success factor of the project was increased knowledge about Swedish social services, which resulted in increased willingness of participants to seek help. Another important factor was the role of key persons, who can be seen both as a method for linking the parties together and as a success factor in themselves. Challenges related to the project primarily concerned time-related issues. (Less)
