- Abstract
- This study aims to explore how medical social workers in pediatric healthcare and youth clinics reason about documentation practices in their daily work. The focus is on the challenges they encounter related to language, ethics, legal regulations, and interactions with other professional groups. Using a qualitative approach, the study is based on focus group interviews and analyzed through the lens of professional theory. The findings suggest that a clear understanding of one’s role and mandate is crucial for experiencing professional autonomy.
