The data were analyzed thematically and interpreted using stigma theory, social network theory, and intercultural theory. The results show that participants face multiple interconnected challenges, including language barriers, cultural differences, discrimination, and limited social networks, which affect both employment opportunities and feelings of belonging. At the same time, social networks, supportive relationships, and professional guidance emerge as key resources for overcoming these obstacles. Participants also develop hybrid identities by balancing their original culture with Swedish norms. The study concludes that establishment in the labor market is a dynamic process requiring both individual strategies and structural support. The findings highlight the importance of long-term measures and suggest future research on identity, belonging, and life choices among foreign-born professionals (Less)
