- Abstract
- The experiment in this study was conducted to see whether counter stereotypic mental imagery effects individuals stereotyping, concerning their partners. The Sex-Role Inventory, constructed by Sandra Bem, was used. All together, 120 students at Lund University and Campus Helsingborg participated. The students answered the Bem Sex-Role Inventory (BSRI) measuring themselves. 30 male participants were then asked to imagine a strong woman and 30 female participants were asked to imagine a soft man. 30 males and 30 females were asked to imagine a house.
