The purpose of this essay is to examine the social services voluntary contribution to youth abusers, how it looks like and how it is experienced by the youth and their social workers. Factors of great importance for the answer to my questions. The result is in accordance with earlier research, even new results has appeared. The study showed that the youths have passed through different stages in their lives, from childhood to a life without drugs. The social services tried to compensate the losses that the youths been through with the help of the voluntary contribution. A deep and trustful relation was the necessary condition to find new ways to act and be able to change the way of life through this contribution. They who were unable to find this, and in the cases where the voluntary contribution was not enough, the way it looks today, they were sent to a institution. The persons interviewed revealed important facts in this study such as, structure, drug freedom, treatment of traumatic experiences in childhood/school, family relations, a real occupation where the youths can get the experience and the excitement that they find in the drug and its culture.
