- Abstract
- The purpose with our essay was to examine and understand the import of treatment for drug abuse with Christian elements. Our study was based on a qualitative method and former written material about the subject. Ten persons were interviewed; persons in and after treatment, employed staff and social workers. The questions for our study was; what kind of background and current situation does the persons we interviewed have regarding drug abuse, former treatments, social network and religious thoughts? Our conclusion were that the Christian elements makes a big importance for the persons we have interviewed. They create a feeling of solidarity, safety and instruments to use in times of crises and for a continuous life without drugs. (Less)
