Abstract
The purpose of this essay was to find out how a selection of the clients at a social welfare office experienced the treatment of them, and the information given to them when they were confronted with demands from the "arbetslinjen". The purpose was also to find out if there were any significant differences in the experiences from the clients different backgrounds. This was realized by a questionnaire to the clients that was handed out in the waiting-room. 66 questionnaires was handed out and 60 was replied and returned. The purpose of this essay was to find out how a selection of the clients at a social welfare office experienced the treatment of them, and the information given to them when they were confronted with demands from the "arbetslinjen". The purpose was also to find out if there were any significant differences in the experiences from the clients different backgrounds. This was realized by a questionnaire to the clients that was handed out in the waiting-room. 66 questionnaires was handed out and 60 was replied and returned. The framing of the questions were: How does a random sample of the clients at Arbete och Försörjning in Eslöv experience the treatment, primary by their social welfare secretary? How does the same clients experience the information that is given to them? Is it possible to see any clear differences in the clients experiences from different backgrounds, as for example gender, age and origin? The main differences in the answers between the groups were that the immigrants were more pleased about the way they were treated than the Swedish an the second generation of immigrants. The younger groups was not as pleased with the treatment as the older groups. About a third of the clients that responded felt that they were given to much information about their obligations and to little information about their rights. (Less)
