I wanted an answer to the question : which is the role of personal agents in their relations to clients and authorities, and get a picture of the cooperation between psychiatry and social authorities. In order to get an answer to my questions I have interviewed personal agents, clients, social workers, psychiatry staff and repesentatives of client organisations. The work of personal agents appeared to be very succesful in order to make the conditions of the mentally disabled better. But the personal agents have been forced to work hard to convince ignorant authorities. My study indicates that there are still problems to be solved before the cooperation between authorities are satisfying. (Less)
