- Abstract
- Our purpose with this paper was to examine how new recruitment of personnel were done and how new recruitment of people with an immigrant background was done. The purpose was also to see what kind of qualifications that are requested now and in the future and also if diversity is aimed at. We were interested to see the current situation at the local authorities and at private companies in Helsingborg. We chose to interview people in the personnel management who are responsible for new recruitment both at the local authorities and at the companies. Considering people with an immigrant background it seemed like knowledge in the Swedish language was a very important factor in the selection of a new employee. Diversity among the personnel was something that all the people that we interviewed were interested in but they generally considered that they have not reached their goal yet. (Less)
