The Swedish identity is reconstructed in terms of humanity and generosity and Sweden who is self declared of having one of the most generous asylum system in the world, have been playing an active part in the harmonization of the migration politic in the EU. The definition of migration as the problem facing Sweden is operating as a legitimization to increase the harmonization of the migration politic in the EU.
