The purpose of this essay is to get an insight into the interaction between the different professions for young offenders. The questions that have been answered is: Witch professions work together concerning young offenders? In what way do the professionals cooperate? Is there anything that could change in the coopertion? We have studied the cooperation between police, prosecutors, field secretary and school counselors appear in a small community, the social secretaries refused request to participate in the study. Different professions shall work together for young people to break their criminal behavior and a favorable development. In the cooperation between the profession are there obstacles that could make it difficult för their work, and these obstacles must be properly managed. We have chosen to make use of structured interviews and qualitative methodology. Each profession has its view of cooperation and would together achieve a good result for young people. Professionals have different rules they must abide by, while they should take consideration to each other. The interaction process is the different puzzle pieces to be placed in the right place, but all have the same goals and want young people to feel good and to end their criminal behaviour. The theory we have chosen to analyze our empirical evidence is Bolman and Deals organization theory with the structural perspective. The results of the study show that the regulatory framework such as confidentiality may prevent communication between the professions. Another result we found is that the profession saw as a positive cooperation only. (Less)
