Abstract (Swedish)
This B.A-thesis has its focus on the Roman Iron Age in southern Scandinavia; i.e. Scania and the Danish isles. The main plot line is about the military and political structures during this time; how they worked together and what the archaeological evidence for this is. The material used consists of weapon burials, bog finds and historical sources. Since this material already have been examined and published by scholars, these publications will be used for the presentation and interpretation of the material. The previous researches have provided the thesis with different models that have been discussed each on its own and in co-relation to one another.
