- Abstract
- The purpose of this report is to investigate the problem with fire safety at construction sites. If it is found necessary, the report will try to present methods of how the situation can be bettered. Investigations have been made through interviews, visits to building sites and by examining statistics of fires at construction sites. Swedish laws have been studied with the purpose to evaluate how these regulate the fire safety at building sites. Knowing the laws, it was easier for the authors to interpret how their demands are handled in every day life. The conclusion is that improvements are necessary. Consequently a suggestion is presented

Knowing the laws, it was easier for the authors to interpret how their demands are handled in every day life. The conclusion is that improvements are necessary. Consequently a suggestion is presented
that the fire safety at construction sites should be handled with a systematic approach. The suggestion is based on that this approach is the one being used in finished buildings, and that uniformity has its advantages. Finally the report presents a checklist that can be used
regarding fire safety at construction sites. (Less)
