Abstract
This report contains a description of the fire protection status of nursing home Linnéagården in Gislaved, Sweden, with a focus on evacuation possibility for the people living there. The building design is compared to the rules of fire safety implementation in the Swedish building code. Evacuation calculations and simulations are based on the computer programs Argos (smoke spread etc.) and ERM (Time for evacuation of building) and the results are compared to see if the present building design and level of fire protection is sufficient for safe escape in case of fire.
