Abstract
This report is a fire safety evaluation of Folkets Hus in Gislaved, Sweden. Its given purpose is to focus on the human safety and evacuation possibilities before critical conditions can emerge. The building offers a wide range of activities mainly including cinema and theater performances, conferences and gathering opportunities. To inves-tigate if the fire safety is of a satisfactory level, three scenarios were picked and ana-lyzed in depth using tools like computer simulations and hand calculations. Since the results obtained did not reach the levels required this report introduces several im-provements to counter these weaknesses and improve the fire safety.
