Abstract
The purpose of this thesis is to examine how the Colombian children’s situation looks like due to the internal armed conflict in Colombia. I come to the result that both the illegal armed groups and the state are violating the children’s rights. Nevertheless, the state is at the same time starting up projects dedicated to give children education, safety and a better standard of living which makes the state, according to me, less responsible for the difficult situation. The state is hindered in its work by the illegal armed groups. I also discuss how the state simultaneously fails in fulfilling their social agenda, which is a very negative aspect of the work of the state. (Less)
