Abstract
The purpose of this essay is to present the conclusions and recommendations in the Goldstone report that were given to the state of Israel, as well as presenting the state of Israel’s response and presented investigations against the allegations. Along with that, a presentation of Amnesty International’s updated assessment will be given along with its criticism towards the state of Israel due to their presented investigations and responses as well as towards the investigations and investigators themselves. The Just War Theory will also be presented along with Michael Walzer’s short comments and the theory’s relation to existing legal documents using his book “Just and Unjust Wars”. A presentation of Michael Walzer’s and Avishai Margalit’s article “Israel: Civilians & combatants”, which is a criticizing response towards Adlin’s and Kasher’s article will also be given for the purpose of the discussion.
