The theoretical perspective was based on social psychology with a principally base of social bonds and social constructions which constitute the main part of the analysis. Several different conditions were identified as important to avoid reccurence, with two conditions that stood out as very important for all of the participants of the study. The first condition were the accessibility of social support with in the family or friends and with professionals. The second condition were the access of treatment against addictions of alcohol and drugs. The conclusion of this study is that there is many different factors that can prevent reccurance and that most factors are based on individual needs. For the best prognosis of resisting reccurence these factors should fall togehter during exitprocesses of crime. The study also indicate that the swedish treatment of offenders fall short on providing professional support and helping clients with material problems like housing and economy. (Less)
