- Abstract
- This is an empirical and text analyzing study about different religions and the question is if there are any intolerant values against religion in Skåne, the southern part of Sweden. Other studies have shown that there are values against religious minority groups in the area.
I have done an investigation in high schools in Malmö and Landskrona about values about religion. I did a pre-study before the real study took place. The study is focus on Islamophobia and antisemitism. It is a study about whether there are freedom of religion in Sweden or not. Freedom of religion is in Europeconvention and in Swedish law that everyone has the right to freedom of religion, unless it hurt someone. The study is also about the picture of Sweden as a... The conclusions became that there are freedom of religion, but not in the mentality because there are both islamophobia and anthisemitism in Skåne, as even other studies have write before about. The muslim women have values against themselves as not free, and it is not acceptable to build mosques, it is not totally acceptable with synagogues either. It is therefore not fair to have only focus on islamophobia today because even if jewish people have been victum of crimes against humanity. It is not fair to leave the focus because there are still anthisemits but not as much as the islamophobia. There are still the view that Christian society is to prefer as the Swedish society even if the country is official secular. (Less)
