- Abstract
- In the following study, the aim has been to analyze how socially destructive behavior is constructed in verdicts concerning involuntary treatment of teenagers. We have examined which actions have been suggested as socially destructive, and whether sex is important for this construction. We have analyzed our material by using Foucault-inspired discourse analysis, with concepts such as power, knowledge, truth, power and subject position. To understand the significance of sex, we have also made use of Judith Butler´s concepts of sex. Our conclusion suggests two prominent subject positions, which we call victims and perpetrators.
