- Abstract
- HIV is the world’s leading infectious killer and young people constitute a large part of those who are infected. Preventative interventions directed to young people often fail to provide the comprehensive information about HIV/AIDS that the young people need and the information given is not always accurately understood. The aim of this study was to explore adolescents’ comprehension regarding HIV/AIDS and HIV/AIDS education at primary schools in rural Kenya. Semi-structured interviews were performed with 33 adolescents and analysed through qualitative content analysis.
