Abstract
The result of this research is, that the Kennedy myth lived in a symbiotic relationship with the political mission of John F Kennedy during his time in the White House. The myth was as present – as the real politics of Kennedy – during his presidency. The Kennedy myth was a
tool for John Kennedy to reach the White House. This myth was natural in a country as America, where the American Dream is fundamental for its self-perception. It is of no importance if the myth is historical false or true. The myth has another role. The role of the myth is to strengthen the identity of the group and the nation.
