- Abstract (Swedish)
(More)

(Less)
- Abstract
- Previous studies of voice use in aerobics instructors have all been based on subjective ratings of the voice function. No studies have included objective measurements of the voice during a workout. The purpose of this work was to make an explorative study of voice use in aerobics instructors and the acoustic environment in the halls where they instruct. The objective measurements were made with the Ambulatory Phonation Monitor (APM). Recordings were made two hours before and during the participants workout. The participants also completed a questionnaire about voice use. Measurements of the sound level were made with a dosimeter. Temperature and carbon dioxide levels were also measured. The results showed that the participants raised their... (More)

The results showed that the participants raised their F0 and SPL during the workout in comparison with the work hours/spare time. The time dose (percent of voicing) was also higher during the workout. (Less)
