Abstract
In recent years the use of BIM (Building Information Modeling) in the construction industry has increased dramatically. In the current situation, many of the major players use BIM both in the design and production phase. What remains is to explore is how BIM can be used in property management.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to find out which information the contractor must put in the BIM model so that the property managers can get an added value.
Method: The study was conducted as a case study and interviews were conducted with property managers. The interview method has been open-targeted and based on the results; a proposal has been prepared for the introduction of BIM in the management phase.
Conclusion: The knowledge of BIM... (More)

Method: The study was conducted as a case study and interviews were conducted with property managers. The interview method has been open-targeted and based on the results; a proposal has been prepared for the introduction of BIM in the management phase.
Conclusion: The knowledge of BIM among property managers in the current situation is very limited. Managers are generally positive about the introduction to BIM in the management phase. In order to successfully and efficiently implement BIM in the management phase, it is up to contractors, developers and others knowledgeable in the field to develop and promote short-term benefits of BIM in the management phase. A prerequisite for a breakthrough is an efficient method of information transfer.
Key words: 3D, 4D, 5D, BIM, virtual construction, building production, property management, Fi2xml, IFC. (Less)
