Modulenthus is a company in the wood house industry that builds houses in volumes. Volume building means that Modulenthus builds predecorated house volumes in a factory and transports these to the building sites where they are being put together to complete detached houses. Modulenthus is a company in the wood house industry that builds houses in volumes. Volume building means that Modulenthus builds predecorated house volumes in a factory and transports these to the building sites where they are being put together to complete detached houses. The purpose of these Master Thesis is that, on the basis of Modulenthus conditions and wishes, evaluate a possible using of an object controlled three dimensional
CAD-system. Furthermore the possibility of using suitable structural design softwares for Modulenthus have been inspected. Through these Master Thesis, Modulenthus had expectations to get to know the advantages and disadvantages of a change to a three dimensional planning program. They would also like to examine if there is a possibility to integrate the CAD-system and the design software with each other.
The Detached house Allegro has been created in the software Autodesk Architectural Desktop, ADT at the same time as possibilities and limitations with the software have been noted. There has also been some testing of the supplement software Coins Framing and the two CAD-systems Whole House Engineering and DDS HusPartner have been studied through literature. In the start of this Thesis the decision was made, that the
software ADT should be tested and analysed, in the first place. (Less)
