Abstract
This report shows how an non-insulated sheet metal roof behaves when it is
exposed to varying temperatures. What happens is that the sheet metal expands and contracts which can lead to damages in the sheet metal fasteners. This causes problems when the roof is ment to stabilize for horisontal forces on the building.
This report focuses on a specific construction type that is the most commun in the industry. The background for this report is that there is not much investigations done concerning this area and that the existing design tools are insufficient.
