- Abstract
- Determining the structural type of a bridge is often a difficult task. The purpose of this thesis is to preliminary design three bridge alternatives. The bridge shall cross the fjord Þorskafjörður in Iceland.
The goal is to determine the most favorable option. That decision will be based on economy, construction and aesthetics. Following that a more detailed design of the superstructure is performed for the chosen alternative. All calculations are performed according to Eurocode.
