- Abstract
- The main purpose of this study, which is performed from a sociology of law perspective, is to illuminate the factors that ha direct impact on the implementation of the new litter law, applying in Sweden from summer 2011. The study was founded on Naturvårdsverket’s reports regarding particular commitment to prevent litter in our community.
Material for the study was collected by a quantitative survey for young adults born between 1994-1996, as well as two qualitative interviews: one with the Police department and one with the City Council maintenance department in Helsingborg. The resluts show that young adults to low educated parents care more for the environment, and that young adults to high educated parents know more about the litter... The resluts show that young adults to low educated parents care more for the environment, and that young adults to high educated parents know more about the litter law. The work with preventing litter is complicated for the authority because of the lack of a common project manager connected to the duty, as well as the lack of resourses. (Less)
