- Abstract
- The purpose of this study was to investigate how private and public actors in the institutional care of children and young people’s homes (HVB) market them self on the internet. In 1982 the new Swedish Social Law made it possible for private providers to establish the institution for institutional care of children and young people (HVB). - The purpose of this study was to investigate how private and public actors in the institutional care of children and young people’s homes (HVB) market them self on the internet. In 1982 the new Swedish Social Law made it possible for private providers to establish the institution for institutional care of children and young people (HVB). The empirical material contains twenty websites, ten local actors and ten private actors. The qualitative content analysis was used for analyzing the material. The result shows that there are both differences and similarities between HVB-websites. The extent to which these differences exist and how they can be understood is interpreted on the basis of new institutional theory that broadens the perspective of organizations working in the same field of activity.
