Olika erfarenheter av musikskapande tillsammans med läroplanens kunskapskrav har bidragit till intresset för denna studie, som undersöker det digitala musikskapandets betydelse i musikundervisningen. Syftet med undersökningen är att se om det digitala musikskapandet kan vara ett bra alternativ och komplement till det mer traditionella och om det kan tillföra något till musikskapande i skolan. Frågeställningarna som valts för denna studie är: Vilken betydelse kan digitalt musikskapande ha i grundskolans musikundervisning? Vilken betydelse har digitalt musikskapande för elever som saknar eller har brister i sina instrumenttekniska kunskaper? Olika erfarenheter av musikskapande tillsammans med läroplanens kunskapskrav har bidragit till intresset för denna studie, som undersöker det digitala musikskapandets betydelse i musikundervisningen. Syftet med undersökningen är att se om det digitala musikskapandet kan vara ett bra alternativ och komplement till det mer traditionella och om det kan tillföra något till musikskapande i skolan. Frågeställningarna som valts för denna studie är: Vilken betydelse kan digitalt musikskapande ha i grundskolans musikundervisning? Vilken betydelse har digitalt musikskapande för elever som saknar eller har brister i sina instrumenttekniska kunskaper? Kvalitativa intervjuer som kompletterats med en observation har använts som metod för att få fram resultatet som pekar på att digitalt musikskapande är till stor hjälp för elever i musikskapande i skolan idag. Resultatet visar att programmet kan hjälpa elever med de delar i skapandet där färdigheter saknas eller är bristfälliga. Att använda digitalt skapande har också visat sig fungera bra för elever med kunskaper på olika nivåer och det erbjuder på så sätt musikskapande för alla. I en uppgift som den jag i studien fått undersöka, ryms arbete med flera av läroplanens kunskapskrav. (Less)

Different experiences together with the new curriculum for elementary school, created an interest which partly lead to this thesis, examining the importance of digital music making in the musical education. The purpose is to examine digital music creation as an alternative way of creating music and the contribution of it to music creation in elementary school. The following questions were used in the examination: What is the importance of digital music creation in the musical education in elementary school? What is the importance of digital music creation for students in lack of instrumental skills? Observations as well as interviews are both part of the qualitative method to obtain the result showing the contribution of digital music... (More)

The purpose is to examine digital music creation as an alternative way of creating music and the contribution of it to music creation in elementary school. The following questions were used in the examination: What is the importance of digital music creation in the musical education in elementary school? What is the importance of digital music creation for students in lack of instrumental skills? Observations as well as interviews are both part of the qualitative method to obtain the result showing the contribution of digital music creation. The digital tools used by the students in the creative process helped them in a lot of ways. The result showed that students in different levels in instrumental skills were able to use the digital tools that offer music creation for everyone. Several parts in the new curriculum were included in the digital music task. (Less)
