- To be called ”politically correct” todays is probably as equally bad as being called a liar. Po-litical correctness is a term frequently used in current debates and the purpose of that may vary. It might be used to make the opponent seem like a coward, scared of telling his actual opinions, or it could be used to claim that your opinions are better than others. Some people consider that to have politically correct opinions is the same as standing for good values and the respect of human beings as equals with equal rights. Either way you agree with those opinions or not, political correctness is a term that evokes strong emotions and some people would even call it a threat to freedom of speech.
