The study is a discourse analysis made through a securitization perspective on three of Frontex reports of the year 2013. These are then contrasted against Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International and the Red Cross view on Frontex. The conclusion is that a clear tendency to securitization can be discerned, but mainly because of their activities and not their manner of speaking. It is partly a discrepancy between speech and action, as what is being said is not always followed, such as fundamental rights. This may therefore result in refugees in need of protection, being denied that right. (Less)
