Abstract
Is the Faculty of Social Sciences at Lund University a gender aware faculty from a student representative perspective? In this Bachelor thesis, based on a survey, the Faculty of Social Sciences can be interpreted as being gender aware. To include a gender perspective at all levels at Lund University has been an area of focus since the later part of the last decade, though it has been considered to be less important for the last two years in the strategic plans of the University. Is the Faculty of Social Sciences at Lund University a gender aware faculty from a student representative perspective? In this Bachelor thesis, based on a survey, the Faculty of Social Sciences can be interpreted as being gender aware. The conclusion of this study is that through the perspective of the student representatives, the Faculty of Social Sciences is producing gender aware knowledge. Though, the group of respondents was small and they were not aware of the policies regarding gender equality at the Faculty or institution. For this reason the conclusion is up for discussion, since the respondents did not know how much gender should be incorporated into their education. (Less)
