Varför tar företagen mer ansvar än vad lagen kräver? Exemplet kemikalier i textilier

Abstract
The essay describes the legislation on chemicals in textiles and where the legislation is unsuccessful. Companies’ ability to influence the development of a sustainable business and increasing environmental concern is achieved through legal regulation, however more and more companies choose to take a more far reaching responsibility beyond what the law requires. Why companies choose to take a more responsibility can be attributed to market forces such as staying competitive against other companies, the opportunities for companies to strengthen their brand and consumers' increasing awareness of the environment and a demand for sustainable products.
