Title: Equine Assisted Therapy – A qualitative study about the therapist’s experiences

The main aim of this study was to examine how Equine Assisted Therapist´s experience the treatment, what different skills their clients develop and how the therapists describes the importance of the horse in the treatment. Qualitative semi-structured interviews were conducted with four participants who all had different backgrounds and education. One thing that the participants had in common was that they all had the same experience about Equine Assisted Therapy – it works. The therapist’s seemed to be proud of their work and pointed out that they felt satisfied with what Equine Assisted Therapy can help people with.
