- In Sweden, a sign of success is education, hard work, and ultimately gainful employment. Being employed, however, sometimes carries a risk of being exposed to either physical and/or psychological violence. In judicial-related occupations, the risk of being exposed to such violence are higher than in others.

The study also aimed to investigate how the employees experience the safety and security conditions at the court. The aim of this study was to identify and analyze professional norms among the employees at the District court in Lund regarding safety and security. The study also aimed to investigate how the employees experience the safety and security conditions at the court. The theoretical frame of the study is founded on norm theories emanated from Håkan Hydén (2002) and Matthias Baier and Måns Svensson (2009).
The main finding of this study is that professional norms regarding safety and security was identified among the employees at the court. Although professional norms were identified, they were not robust nor cohesive across the different professions within the court. The study also found that the majority of the employees at the court experience that the safety and security conditions connected to their occupation are at a satisfying level. (Less)
